Updated on 19.2.2025

Getting started with Simple Salaries is quick and simple. If the mandatory information remains unchanged, these steps only need to be done once when the service is set up.

Authorisation

Log in to Talenom Online and open the Simple Salaries service from the menu on the left. Sign the authorisation form that you will find under the Simple Salaries service on your first login. Please do not start using the Simple Salaries service until the Invoice Payment service has been activated for you.

Insurance details

The first time you log in, the system will ask you to enter insurance details. To access your insurance details, select Settings Insurances.

What insurances do I need if I pay salaries to employees?

TyEL insurance is a statutory or compulsory insurance that covers your employees’ pensions. As an employer, you must take out a TyEL insurance policy if your employee’s salaries exceed €68.57 per month and if their age requires an insurance. The insurance policy must be taken out at the latest when the first salary is paid.

TyEL and accident insurance data must be added to the system from the drop-down menus. If you have not yet taken out TyEL or accident insurance policies for your company, you can get it from our partners through the Simple Salaries service. Our partner for TyEL insurance is Varma and for accident insurance Lähitapiola. You do not need to add any YEL information to the system.

What insurances do I need if I only pay salaries to a self-employed person?

YEL insurance is compulsory for self-employed persons and cannot be replaced by a voluntary insurance. However, there is no need to add YEL information to the system, because as a self-employed person you will handle YEL payments directly with your insurance company. If you have not yet taken out a YEL insurance policy, you can do so through the Simple Salaries service and our partner company Varma.

For insurance companies, select No company for TyEL and accident insurance and then save the information at the bottom right corner of the page.
